FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo television talk show host has apologized for comments he made that drew a connection between Adolph Hitler and North Dakota U.S. House candidate Pam Gulleson.
KVLY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/NOxqwO ) that Chris Berg says he apologizes if anyone thinks he was trying to compare the Democratic candidate to Hitler.
Berg is a host of the “Point of View” television program on Valley News Live. His comments about Gulleson were made on another show he does only on the station's website.
In Thursday's show, Berg compared Gulleson's position on Social Security to Hitler's theory of repeating a big lie until people believe it.
Gulleson says it's unfortunate to see such inappropriate rhetoric, but she will not be silenced in her commitment to preserving Social Security and Medicare.
