After nearly 107 minutes of scoreless soccer, Minnesota-Crookston got a goal and as a result a 1-0 win over the Jimmie women on Sunday.
Nikki Hammond scored at the 106-minute and 10-second mark as the home team nipped the Jimmies in the season-opener for JC.
The Jimmies didn’t create much offense. They had just one shot on goal, which came in the first half.
JC keeper Kayla Byle was a little busier, making one save in the second half, another in the first overtime and two more in the second OT session.
The Jimmies are back in action on Thursday against Northern State for an exhibition match in Aberdeen. Their next regular-season action is Sept. 1 against St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn.
