Toppers donates to ACC

Muscle cars, motorcycles and a crowd of automotive enthusiasts greeted Anne Carlsen Center CEO Eric Monson last week, as he received a $3,000 check for the center on behalf of the Toppers Car Club.

“We appreciate the generosity and hard work of the Toppers,” Monson said. “In the Fargo-Moorhead area, we have an infant development program, a program where we have day support and in-home support for children and young adults. … We’ll put it to good work for the kids.”

The donation was inspired by a West Fargo High School graduate who began receiving Anne Carlsen Center’s community-based services in 2010. The woman’s volunteer involvement at the Harwood Bank caught the attention of Heather Swenson, a former employee. Swenson relayed the message of the graduate’s service to her husband Eric, who nominated the Anne Carlsen Center as a beneficiary of the Toppers’ 54th Annual Car Show.

“It’s nice to see people helping people. Good intentions lead to good things,” Swenson said.
