The Jamestown College men’s wrestling team received a boost on Monday, signing six athletes to letters of intent.
The Jamestown College men’s wrestling team received a boost on Monday, signing six athletes to letters of intent.
Alex Jackson, Brandon Edwards, Liam Kautz, Antonio Rivers, Joshua Claymore and Alton Barrie have all committed to Jamestown College and the Jimmies.
Jackson (141 pounds) is a graduate of Hobbs High School in Hobbs, N.M. He was a two-time state finalist at 140 pounds, taking second place in both 2010 and 2011.
Edwards (133) is a graduate of Missoula Sentinel High School in Missoula, Mont. He was a two-time state finalist at 130 pounds, finishing fifth in 2011 and third in 2012.
Kautz (133) is a graduate of Southeast High School in Torrington, Wyo. He placed sixth at state at 130 pounds.
Rivera (174) is a graduate of Etiwanda High School in Fontana, Calif. He was a two-time state finalist at 170 pounds, taking second in both 2011 and 2012.
Claymore graduated from Eureka High School in Eureka, S.D., while Barrie graduated from Park High School in Emigrant, Mont.
“It has been a great recruiting year for us,” Jamestown College head men’s wrestling coach C.J. Campbell said. “The battles in our wrestling room alone will be fun to watch, I can’t wait to see how we do against our competitors.”
