ND man pleads guilty to domestic assault by habitual offender
U.S. Attorney Timothy Q. Purdon announced today that Isadore Eagle Boy, 38, of Cannon Ball, N.D., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to a charge of domestic assault by a habitual offender.

On March 29, Eagle Boy was arrested for assaulting a woman, with whom
he lived, by striking her in the face numerous times, authorities said. Eagle Boy had previously been convicted in Standing Rock Tribal Court of two other domestic violence offenses involving the same woman.
The charge of domestic assault by a habitual offender carries a statutory maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of
Indian Affairs - Standing Rock Agency, and Standing Rock Tribal Prosecutor's Office, with the assistance of the Standing Rock Tribal Court.
Sentencing for Eagle Boy has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 19 in
U.S. District Court in Bismarck.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Delorme is prosecuting the case.
