Quilt auction at Red Willow
The 25th Annual Quilt and Fine Art Auction will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Red Willow Bible Camp, Binford, N.D. Twenty-five years ago, in 1988, the board of directors of Red Willow Bible Camp decided to host a quilt auction fundraiser.

Twenty-five years ago, in 1988, the board of directors of Red Willow Bible Camp decided to host a quilt auction fundraiser.
They surveyed the women’s organizations that support the camp, and were promised at least 70 quilts and afghans. They had the first auction on the shore of Red Willow Lake in the summer of 1988. Halvorson auctioneers donated their services that first year, and for the next 24.
That tradition will come to a close this summer after 25 years.
The first auction raised $14,333, which in today’s dollars is $27,757. This year’s goal is to reach $30,000 from the auctions and quilt raffle.
All are welcome to spend Sunday at the Bible Camp for worship, lunch, a pie contest, auctions and activities for children on Red Willow Lake.
