Official: CodeRED testing successful

CodeRED sends emergency messages and weather warnings to telephones, cellphones or email addresses enrolled in the program. Subscribers can opt to receive message when severe weather warnings are issued for their home area.

Bergquist said anyone wishing to enroll in CodeRED can do so by going to www.stutsmancounty.org and clinking on the CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment button. The subscriber must furnish his/her name, address and phone number.

There is no charge to enroll.
