A one-yard TD run by Josh Edmonson and a 14-yard pitch-and-catch from Seth Gillis to Chance LaBrie for a score, contributed to a 16-point third quarter for New-Rockford Sheyenne to break things open in Hope on Friday night.
The Rockets led the Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page Spartans 14-6 at the half in a non-region Class B 9-man football matchup, before putting things away after the break.

The Spartans’ Clay Montag found pay dirt three times on the night, scoring on runs of 37, 12 and 30 yards.

New Salem 24, Kidder Co. 14
Kidder County got a pair of big plays from Ben Steinolfson in the first quarter before New Salem-Almont-Glen Ullin answered with a 24-point second quarter, and the Pirates were never given a chance to respond as bad weather canceled the game.
No indication was given as to whether or not the game counts toward the standings or if it will be made up, but New Salem’s Taylor Heins had TD runs of 8 and 10 that helped put the Holsteins up 16-14.
Steinolfson gave KC early hope with a 36-yard interception return for a TD, followed by a 56-yard run for a score. John Magnuson made both extra points.
