FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Police in Fargo are looking into an incident at Hector International Airport in which planes were hit by a laser light.

WDAY television reports (http://bit.ly/PIfvdg) that police got the call last night around 10 p.m. Friday that a green laser was pointing into a plane's cockpit. Another call came in within 10 minutes saying it happened to another plane.

One plane was a commercial plane, and the other was a smaller plane. Both landed safely.

Police say it's dangerous, and such incidents are taken very seriously.

Police Lt. Joel Vettel says a felony charge that relates to the behavior addresses distraction, or purposely utilizing something that might blind somebody from piloting the aircraft.
