BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison in a stabbing case.

Bobby Bercier Jr., of Belcourt, was charged in federal court with assault with a dangerous weapon. He pleaded guilty in March.
Authorities say the Bercier stabbed the victim in the stomach during a party on May 6, 2011. The injury was not life threatening.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Bercier to three years and five months, and ordered him to pay nearly $2,900.
