Carrington still fourth in Class AA poll
The Carrington High School football team held its fourth spot in the latest Class AA poll, released Wednesday. Carrington (1-0) is coming off a rather close shave against Griggs-Barnes County in which the Cardinals won 28-20. They host Dickinson Trinity at 7 p.m. Friday.

Grafton stayed on top of the poll, receiving nine of 12 first-place votes. Fargo Shanley, ranked second, received two first-place votes, while the Cardinals also received one. Beulah was third while Wahpeton is fifth. Valley City received votes.
Bismarck High (2-0) received all 11 first-place votes, holding a tight grasp on its No. 1 ranking in the Class AAA poll. Minot was second, followed by Grand Forks Red River, which moved up to third after beating Jamestown 26-0 at Ernie Gates Field last Friday. Jamestown visits Mandan on Friday night.
Fargo South fell from second to fourth after losing to Fairbault, Minn., while Bismarck Century stayed at fifth to round out the poll.
The rankings are voted on by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
