There was no property damage and no injuries were reported following a report of an oven fire in southwest Jamestown on Friday, according to Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther.

The Jamestown Fire Department responded at 2:22 p.m. Friday to a report of an oven on fire at a single-family dwelling at 819 13th Ave. SW.

Reuther said the fire was contained to limited smoke by the time the JFD arrived on the scene, and the JFD cleared the scene by 2:36 p.m.

Grease in the oven was determined to be the cause, Reuther said.

Five trucks and 24 firefighters responded to the scene.

Reuther said there is no further investigation into the incident.
