Area Republicans attend convention
The National Republican Convention was held in Tampa, Fla., Aug 25-31. Those attending from districts 12 and 29 were state Rep. Craig Headland, Clarice Liechty, Rueben Liechty and Delores Rath.

The GOP endorsed Mitt Romney as the presidential candidate and Paul Ryan as vice presidential candidate.
On Wednesday there will be a wine and cheese greet with the candidates and state officials at Two Rivers Inn Jamestown hosted by JR Lang, owner of the inn. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Local Republican candidates Bernie Satrom for Senate and Alex Looysen and Ken Hall for the House of Representatives will be attending.
The Republican Headquarters will be open Oct. 1 at the Buffalo Mall.
