Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting set

The next Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor chapel.

The next Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor chapel. Those who are not able to attend these sessions, there are telephone support groups: the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m., the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. and the fourth Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. Call 258-4933 to pre-register for these and to receive the toll-free call-in number.

This month will focus on having the conversation about dementia and driving. Discussion will be on planning ahead, signs of unsafe driving and resources. Those who have been through this are the support groups’ most important resource.
