The NAIA rankings continue to be unkind to the Jimmies.

Jamestown College, with a 9-2 record, lost points in the latest top 25 rankings despite a 3-1 win over Mayville State (9-2) last week.

The Jimmies, who would have been 41st last week based on points, actually dropped to 43 — the final team getting votes in the poll. They had 10 points last week, but fell to three Tuesday.

Doane and Bellevue of Nebraska, two teams the Jimmies have beat, are ranked, although they dropped from 11th to 14th and 20th to 23rd, respectively.

The Jimmies are in a slow stretch game-wise. They don’t play again until Tuesday when they host Dickinson State. The Jimmies remain ranked third in the A.I.I. poll behind Cal State San Marcos, ranked 10th nationally and La Sierra, Calif.

The unbeaten JC men’s soccer team moved up in the top 25. At 6-0, the Jimmies received 24 votes in the poll — the 32nd highest total.

The Jimmies (6-0) play back-to-back road games in Iowa this weekend, taking on Dordt on Saturday and Briar Cliff Sunday.
