RUGBY, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol is bringing its “Trooper on a Bus” program to Rugby.
The program is aimed at raising awareness of traffic violations that occur around school buses. Troopers ride on buses to observe motorists violating traffic laws and radio that information to troopers in nearby squad cars.
The program has been used in various parts of the state, including the Oil Patch. The effort in Rugby was scheduled Wednesday.
