Include the type of event, date, time, location (including address) and any admission fee. Provide a contact name and telephone number for verification/questions.

Commercial events (those meant to earn a profit for a business) will not be accepted for this calendar.

Special events

Jamesriver Figure Skating Club fall mum sale, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., parking lot of Professional Eyecare. Prices range from $8 to $24.

Bluegrass jam session, 1 p.m., Barnes County Historical Society, 315 Central Ave. N. Anyone can bring an instrument and play; no admission.

Special events

Bark in the Park, a fundraiser to benefit Service Dogs for America and Prairie Paws Rescue, is in McElroy Park. Registration, noon; walk for people and their dogs starts at 1 p.m.; activities including demonstrations begin around 2 p.m. Vendors planned. Contests for dogs included in activities. Brats available. Sponsor: Modern Woodmen of America chapter in Jamestown.
