A Devils Lake, N.D., man died while driving Saturday morning in Ramsey County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said Timothy Kiemele, 57, Devils Lake, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup westbound on a county road about six miles northeast of Crary, N.D. At about 3 a.m., he suffered a major medical condition and drove off the roadway in an area where the road was being raised. The pickup hit a large dirt wall and came to rest about 50 feet beyond the impact.

Kiemele was pronounced dead at the scene. He had not been wearing a seat belt.

The pickup had damage to its right-front quarter panel.
