Widmer club champion at Hillcrest

Kevin Widmer fired an even round of par 72 to win the Hillcrest Men’s Association End of Year Tournament on Aug. 25.

Widmer finished three clear of runner-up Cory Nelson, who shot a 75.

Len Orr (81), Mark Lundgren (84) and Steve Klose (85) rounded out the top 5.

In the Handicap Division, John Weron took top honors with a round of 80, giving him a net score of 61.57. Ryan Fisher ended second 88 (66.72).

Terry Gruchalla won the Handicap Senior Division. Gruchalla also posted a score of 80 to go with his net score of 56.63. Willy Mehlhoff was second at 91 and 67.44.
