Letter to the editor: Pelican Point Campground was a great place this year

As the camping season draws to an end we feel compelled to publicly express our gratitude to the Stutsman County commissioners, Denny Lorenz and his staff as well as a special thank you to Laura Beth for a wonderful full year of camping at Pelican Point Campground.

The flooding of the previous years has done tremendous damage to the grounds and trees but the campground was busy every weekend. Campers understood the dead trees that have been marked for removal, and the balance of the grounds were maintained immaculately by Beth! Great job! Campers made due with the water available and enjoyed the premises immensely. Thank you for making such a nice escape available to everyone who took advantage of it, young, old and in-between!
