School Board approved Olweus survey

The Jamestown Public School Board did not approve moving forward with implementing the Olweus bullying prevention program as reported in “Toso to retire: JPS superintendent to finish duties June 1” on page A1 in Tuesday’s Sun. The board agreed to move forward with the district-wide Olweus survey in October or November.

Also, it was reported the board announced that school will be canceled on Thursday for all district schools due to the death of former Jamestown High School counselor Jane Aune, whose funeral will be held that day. That decision was made and announced by JPS Superintendent Bob Toso.
