Laura Kraft finished strong in her second meet of the season.

The former Jamestown High School star finished tied for 18th after a solid round of 75 on Tuesday at the Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky.

Kraft, the 2010 graduate of JHS, posted rounds of 74. 76 and 75 to help the University of Missouri to a runner-up finish at the meet. It went right down to the wire as host Louisville nipped the Tigers by just one stroke, 897-896. Kraft had the third-best score for Mizzou. Katherine led the Tigers, firing 72s in the first and final rounds sandwiched around a 78.

Kraft and the Tigers are back in action Oct. 1-2, hosting the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
