Ever since he was a legislator, Jack Dalrymple has been known as a man of action. In fact, when his term was up as leader of the House Appropriations Committee, fellow members gave him an action figure to commemorate all he did. He continued taking action as lieutenant governor, leading tremendous export growth in the North Dakota Trade Office. He was the point person on the budget under the John Hoeven administration. And he led the way to address North Dakota’s K-12 school funding formula, which won national recognition.
As governor, Dalrymple stood up for North Dakotans who dealt with flooding or water control issues all around the state. He stood up to the Environmental Protection Agency and to the Army Corps on behalf of all of us. He also reduced taxes — one of the few governors in the nation to do so. In my industry, Dalrymple is an active partner and an advocate of agriculture and the wise use of North Dakota’s budget for upgrading infrastructure for renewable sources of energy such as ethanol for fuel and its by products for the livestock industry.
Dalrymple is a man of action, proven year after year throughout his public service. He deserves our vote.
