Man killed after being hit by train in Fargo

North Dakota authorities say an 18-year-old man was killed early Sunday when he was hit by a train in Fargo.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota authorities say an 18-year-old man was killed early Sunday when he was hit by a train in Fargo.

Fargo Police Sgt. Mike Erbes tells KVLY-TV that Amtrak's Empire Builder train hit a pedestrian. Authorities have not released the name of the man, who died at the scene.

The accident happened about 3 a.m. on the tracks west of the North Dakota State University campus.
