Letter to the editor: Democrats are out of touch with the country

The Democratic Party’s new platform adopted at this year’s convention supports the right to abortion with no limits. This could include abortions carried out as gender selections.

The Democratic platform supports same-sex marriage.

The Democratic platform omitted, at first, the statement that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. They feared losing votes in the election so the convention chairman passed it even though it did not have enough votes in favor and he was booed for it.

Iran is close to a nuclear bomb, the Middle East is falling apart, four Americans died in an attack on our consulate in Libya and we are looking at another credit downgrade.

President Barack Obama is so busy campaigning he can’t stop long enough to meet with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or even stop long enough to follow the riots going on in the Middle East.

North Dakota Democrats: Is this really the platform you believe in? Which party is out of touch?

Obama’s plan is to continue spending. We are $16 trillion in debt and the Democrats are more concerned about who is going to pay for women’s contraceptives and abortions.

Please think before you vote. It may help to go see the movie “2016” and see just where Obama is taking us.
