The Jamestown Rural Fire Department responded to a fire in a field northeast of Jamestown Monday afternoon, according to scanner reports.

The fire was reported at about 3:50 p.m. in a field believed to have corn stalks. It was located roughly nine miles north of Jamestown or 1 1/2 miles southwest of Spiritwood Lake, N.D.

No further information was available.
