Advisory committee on traumatic brain injuries meetings set
The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Committee will meet from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, by means of eight video conference sites in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Committee will meet from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, by means of eight video conference sites in North Dakota.
The committee meets quarterly to advise the department on issues related to meeting the needs of individuals with traumatic brain injuries and their families.
The public is invited to participate in the meeting from locations including Bismarck, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Williston. In Jamestown, people can participate in the meeting at South Central Human Service Center, 520 Third St. NW, conference room 124-126.
Meeting agenda items include reports from the Head Injury Association of North Dakota; Community Options for Residential and Employment Services, Inc. report on the pre-vocational skills services program; HIT Inc. report on the social and recreational services program; and Department of Human Services’ Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Division report on traumatic brain injury efforts in North Dakota. Other business may be discussed.
The committee includes legislators, advocates, providers, representatives of the North Dakota Department of Human Services, the state Health Department, Department of Public Instruction, Department of Veterans Affairs and Fargo VA Health Care System; individuals living with a traumatic brain injury, and family members of people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.
