JRFD responds after cattails catch fire

The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was dispatched after some cattails caught fire northeast of Jamestown Tuesday afternoon, according to scanner reports.

The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was dispatched after some cattails caught fire northeast of Jamestown Tuesday afternoon, according to scanner reports.

The JRFD was dispatched at about 4:40 p.m. after a power-line worker reported some cattails had caught fire about a mile northeast of Jamestown. The fire was mostly out at the time and the JRFD was asked to come out and spray more water on the burnt plants.

No further information was available.
