BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota students will be offered school lunch menus to showcase food that’s produced in the state.

The “Pride of Dakota” event is scheduled Tuesday. The Department of Agriculture said more than 130 North Dakota schools will be serving food produced by farmers and ranchers in the state.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said the special school lunch day will help local economies. And he said it will educate students about how their food gets to their table.
