Rubio springs for 500 Lynx tickets

Ricky Rubio is following buddy and Timberwolves teammate Kevin Love’s lead in support of the Minnesota Lynx.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ricky Rubio is following buddy and Timberwolves teammate Kevin Love’s lead in support of the Minnesota Lynx.

Rubio has purchased 500 upper level tickets for the series-deciding Game 3 against Seattle on Tuesday. The tickets were made available on Monday morning.

The first 250 fans to call in to the Lynx ticket office will get a pair of free tickets. Rick Adelman and David Kahn did the same thing for the Lynx during last year’s championship run, as did the Vikings, Twins and Wild.

Rubio and Love attended Game 1 at Target Center last week. The Lynx won that game in defense of their title, but lost a double-overtime thriller to the Storm in Seattle on Sunday night.
