Cougars take down Spoilers

They traded games throughout, but Griggs County Central got the one that mattered most.

The Cougars’ Presley Paintner recorded a team-high 19 kills, 19 assists, 4 blocks and 4 aces, helping Griggs County Central defeat the Grafton Spoilers in five games in Class B volleyball action in Cooperstown on Monday night.

Alexis Savre added 13 kills for the winners, while teammates Shaylee Andel and Chelsea Ellefson turned up 27 and 20 digs, respectively. The Cougars took the fifth and deciding game by the final of 15-9.

The Spoilers were led by MacKenzie Einarson’s 11 kills and Kayla Dvorak’s 28 assists.
