Animal Stewards plan meeting

The North Dakota Animal Stewards will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 3, at the Eagles Club in Valley City, according to Jason Schmidt, past president of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association.

The group is supporting a no vote on the initiated measure that would make it a Class C felony in North Dakota to intentionally harm a cat, dog or horse.

Schmidt said the organization wants to make people aware of the issue and the organizations that support it.
