Makoti celebrating 52nd threshing show
The annual Makoti Threshing Association's annual exhibition is featuring more than 300 vintage tractors, combines, threshing machines and other farm machinery.
MAKOTI, N.D. (AP) — The annual Makoti Threshing Association's annual exhibition is featuring more than 300 vintage tractors, combines, threshing machines and other farm machinery.
Officials say the event begins on Friday morning with a tractor trek from Makoti to Ryder and back. Parades are being held on held on Saturday and Sunday.
Event organizers say the threshing show provides spectators a look at how farmers harvested wheat before the invention of the combine.
The 52nd annual show concludes Sunday.
