Comedy
“The British are Coming,” a recital with Dr. Rick Walentine and Jamie Namminga is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on the campus of Jamestown College. There is no admission charge.
Majid Bekkas Gnawa Ensemble, a Moroccan musical group here as part of Caravanserai, will perform at the Jamestown High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. Admission is $7 for Arts Center members, $10 for others with no cost for children.
Comedians Bob Zany and Costaki Economopoulos perform at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Shady’s. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Box office hours at The Raven are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band performs in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on the campus of Jamestown College. Admission is free with a complimentary ticket which can be picked up at the Reiland box office or at The Jamestown Sun. The event is sponsored by The Jamestown Sun and Jamestown College.
Jamestown Community Open Mic is at 7 p.m. every fourth Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Church, 405 Second Ave. NE. All performers are welcome.
Around Town
Wood carving with a local wood carving group is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays in the Arts Center’s Hansen Studio. There is no charge. Call Andy Kudrna at 320-5075 with questions.

The HOPE Dinner and Auction starts with a silent auction and social hour at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Zebedee Center. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. with a live auction to follow. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling 252-3397.
An Elvis Presley memorabilia display is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for ages 11-17 and 11 under are free.

National Buffalo Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and AAA members, $10 for a family and $1 for children ages 6 to 18.
Stutsman County Memorial Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through September. The museum is located at 321 Third Ave. SE. There is no admission charge.
Alfred Dickey Library hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. To access the Story Line, call 252-7464. The library is located at 105 Third St. SE.

The Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Historic Site near Cooperstown is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday through Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. The Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center near Pingree is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The refuge trail system is open daily sunrise to sunset.
Art
Mosaic framed mirrors, a class with Molly McLain, is at 6:30 p.m. today and Tuesday at the Hansen Arts Studio. Cost is $40 for Arts Center members and $50 for others. For more information, call 251-2496.
