Jays split at double dual

Another impressive diving effort, accompanied with a pair of solid relay finishes, helped Jamestown defeat Bismarck High in a girls swimming and diving double dual at Mandan High School on Friday night.
Like she’s done all season, Jamestown’s defending state diving champion senior Alex Lind topped the leaderboard with a solid score of 264.15. She was followed once again by Jamestown’s Abby Wanzek, who strolled to a second-place finish scoring a 213.70.
The host team Mandan defeated both Bismarck (102-80) and Jamestown (100-86) at the double dual. Jamestown took down Bismarck by the score of 97-84.
The Blue Jays collected a pair of second-place finishes in the 200-meter medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. The 200 medley relay, comprised of Annie Hart, Kamie Wagar, Madisen Prasek and Camille Kawasaki, posted a time of 2:03.96.
In the 200 freestyle relay, a team of Wagar, Madison Mandan, Kawasaki and Hart touched second in a time of 1:48.86. Wagar also had a solid day individually, placing second in both the 50 freestyle (27.15) and the 100 butterfly (1:05.16).
Madison Mandan captured second in the 100 freestyle for the Blue Jays, touching in 1:01.22.
Jamestown hosts Fargo Shanley and Wahpeton in a double dual starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
