Rodney Kirk faces a 10-year minimum mandatory sentence on a federal charge of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Authorities say officers found 140 grams of pure methamphetamine during an October 2011 of Kirk's residence in Williston.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
A change of plea hearing is scheduled Oct. 16 in Bismarck.
