Three Blue Jays named all-region

Three Jamestown High School soccer players have been named to the all-West Region team.

Three Jamestown High School soccer players have been named to the all-West Region team.

Seniors Hunter Munson and Jaden Horsted and junior Zach Fossen were named to the team.

Munson was the Blue Jays’ goalkeeper. He had 19 saves in their 4-0 loss to Bismarck St. Mary’s on Friday in a state-tournament qualifier in Mandan.

Horsted was the Jays leading goal-scorer, while Fossen played primarily in the midfield for Jamestown, which won two games, more than the last four seasons combined.

All-West Region Soccer Team

Jamestown: Zach Fossen, Hunter Munson, Jaden Horsted. Mandan: Lucio Giuliano, Lucas Bussman, Brady Hanson. Bismarck St. Mary’s: Isaiah Schwindt, Ben Weisbeck, Andrew Kopp. Minot: Ekow Annan, P.K. Annan, Garrett Weishaar. Bismarck: Cooper Cox, Derek Weninger, Cole Lawrence. Bismarck Century: Brad Kelly, Matt McCarthur, Hunter Huff-Towle.
