A woman was injured in an ice-related rollover 4:25 a.m. Saturday two miles east of Valley City on Interstate 94, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Lynette Rodriguez, 38, of Valley City, was driving a 1995 GMC pickup east on Interstate 94 near mile marker 295. She went across black ice on a railroad overpass, and her vehicle fishtailed on the ice. Then it caught dry pavement and shot into the south ditch, where the truck overturned.

It came to rest in the south ditch, facing south, on the passenger side.

Rodriguez was extracted from the vehicle and transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City.

The crash is still under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Valley City Police Department and the Valley City Crash Rescue.
