Jamestown Regional Medical Center will offer a free educational forum and open house Oct. 17 in observance of National Breast Health Month. The JRMC mammography team will share best practices of breast health to help people detect breast cancer.

The education forum will begin at noon and is part of the “JRMC U” education series. This forum will be hosted by Dawn McCarty, registered mammography technician at JRMC. A free, light lunch will be provided. Following the educational forum will be a mammography open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Both events will be held in the lower level conference rooms at JRMC.

“As a cancer survivor and registered mammographer at JRMC, I know the importance of early detection,” McCarty said. “The educational forum and open house will educate you on why receiving a mammogram at JRMC is unique.”

RSVP for the educational forum at 952-4796 as space is limited to 40 registrants. The open house is available to everyone from 1 to 3 p.m. with no RSVP needed.
