Rotary members to help with rose sale

Darrell Losing gave the table prayer and Katie Andersen and Gina Dahl lead the group in singing. Doug Panchot gave a two-minute talk on himself. Guests were Alexis Grabinger and Ashtyn Stein, seniors at Jamestown High School. Nick Schmidt collected numerous “Happy Dollars” for Rotary projects

Gail Martin gave an update on the rose sale and reminded members that help will be needed for cutting roses on Friday and help will also be needed for distributing them on Saturday. Locations for the pickup of roses will be at Don’s House of Flowers and at the store in the Buffalo Mall. Martin said the Jamestown College men’s soccer team have sold 350 dozen roses.

Backen reminded members of the “checking out of the Christmas lights” party from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at Professional Eyecare Center’s parking lot. He also asked members plan on helping hang the lights from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 and 17.

He said Gov. Jack Dalrymple, R-N.D., will be the guest and program for today’s meeting. Invocation will be by Robin Anderson, music with Selmer Spitzer and Harold Bensch will be the sergeant at arms.
