The Stutsman County Area Retired Teachers Association met in September at the James River Senior and Community Center. Business discussion centered on the August state convention held in Jamestown at Gladstone Inn & Suites. Recent Stutsman County teacher retirees were welcomed and a program calendar for the upcoming year was presented by Orlin Will. It was decided that one of the club’s goals for the year will be to reach out and become more involved in community and service activities. Following the luncheon, members enjoyed an informative tour of Cavendish Farms.
The next meeting of SCARTA will be held Oct. 23. Members are asked to meet at the James River Senior and Community Center and caravan as a group to Medina, N.D. Members Bill and Janet Wells have invited members to attend the Smithsonian Institute Exhibition that will be on display at the Medina City Hall. Lunch will be served at the Medina Cafe.
