50+ Club to meet on Nov. 5
50+ Club of Ypsilanti met Oct. 2 with a noon potluck. President Harriett Lien opened the meeting with the pledge. Roll call was “What is your favorite garden vegetable, and why?” Nancylou Jensen gave the secretary report and Velma Roeske gave the treasurer’s report and both were approved.

In old business, the club approved Lien taking home its new paint and sealer and the subject was tabled until the April 2013 meeting.
Members decided to have the clubhouse winterized after the Christmas party.
Under new business, the club changed the date of Nov. 6 meeting because of it being Election Day. The next meeting will be Nov. 5 at the usual time. The county nurse will be at the meeting and will be giving flu shots for the club and the community. Roll call is “Did we have a special blessing this year that we are thankful for and what was it?”
Discussion was held on guest speakers for 2013 and several suggestions were made.
Marge Lange won the door prize.
