‘Surround’ concert here Saturday

American Choral Director’s Association of North Dakota will present “Surround the State in Song” on Saturday in five locations around the state featuring 324 of North Dakota’s fifth and sixth grade music students. Jamestown will be one of these sites with a concert at 4 p.m. at Jamestown High School. Admission for the concert is $5 for adults and students.

Jamestown will be one of these sites with a concert at 4 p.m. at Jamestown High School. Admission for the concert is $5 for adults and students.

Elementary teachers are able to select six of their students to participate in this event. The Jamestown site will host 91 student singers from various schools around the area including Jamestown elementary schools, North Sargent, Zeeland, Milnor Public School, Washington Elementary School in Valley City, Oakes Public School, Central Cass Elementary School and Sullivan Middle School from Fargo.

The director for this site is Brian Saylor from Horizon Middle School Bismarck. The site manager is Cheryl McIntyre.
