All are invited to attend a Spiritual Appetizer program at 7 p.m. Monday at the St. James Basilica in Jamestown.

The Rev. Len Loegering will speak about the healing of memories.

Loegering was ordained a priest for the Fargo Diocese in 1973. He has served parishes in Fargo, Grafton, Langdon, Pisek, Grand Forks, and is currently serving in Wyndmere/Milnor.

During his 39 years of priesthood he has led or participated in local, regional, and national workshops for rape, incest and sexual abuse survivors and done extensive individual spiritual direction with survivors.

Loegering serves as part of a team that leads Rachel’s Vineyard retreats that promote spiritual healing for men and women who have procured or had an abortion.

In Grand Forks, he served for many years as president and/or board member of Families and Friends of Murder Victims. Participants in this group had a family member or friend who was murdered.

Loegering has facilitated numerous fifth steps for people in 12-step programs recovering from addictions.

Loegering has experienced total kidney failure and received a kidney transplant from his brother.

His ongoing spiritual counseling and medical issues have opened his eyes to the beauty of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.

Refreshments will be served following the presentation and all are welcome to attend this free program.
