A coordinating committee outlined in the North Dakota Century Code Chapter 65-02-03.1, is seeking employer representative candidates to fill vacant seats on the Workforce Safety & Insurance Board of Directors. On Dec. 31, terms will expire for four employer members of the Workforce Safety & Insurance board of Directors.

One seat available is for an employer representative of a North Dakota business which has a WSI annual premium range greater than $25,000 per year. The other is for an employer representative of a North Dakota business which has a WSI annual premium range less than $25,000 per year. Another seat is available for an employer representative of a North Dakota business which has a WSI annual premium range of less than $10,000. All three seats are four year terms on the board beginning Jan. 1.

Candidates interested in filling these one of the three positions must be the principal owner, chief executive officer, or chief financial officer of a North Dakota business. This is a four-year term on the board which begins on Jan. 1.

The final seat available is an “at-large” appointment. There is no premium level requirement and the candidate need not be the principal owner, chief executive officer or chief financial officer of the business, but must be an employer in North Dakota. This is also a four-year term beginning Jan. 1.

Coordinating Committee member Andy Peterson said, “These are extremely important positions, not only to North Dakota’s business community, but also to the injured workers of North Dakota.” He added, “We are looking for candidates who have a good base knowledge of Workforce Safety & Insurance and are dedicated to implementing and promoting policies, procedures and legislation to increase safety and help prevent injuries in the workplace.”

Candidates must be able to travel (in state) several times a year to attend WSI Board of Directors meetings and be available to serve on a number of WSI Board subcommittees.

All interested candidates are welcome to apply to fill these vacancies. If interested in serving on the WSI Board of Directors submit a letter of application and resume. Applications must be received electronically or postmarked no later than Oct. 24. Applications may be sent, via email to ndchamber@ndchamber.com; faxed to 701-222-1611; or sent via standard mail to:
