Senior diver Alex Lind set a Fargo Davies pool record during the Davies Invitational on Saturday.
Lind posted a winning score of 443, as she blew away the competition to help lead the Jamestown Blue Jay girls swimming and diving team to a seventh-place finish in the 11-team meet.
Lind’s score was nearly 43 points better than second-place finisher Anna Reinholz, of Fargo Shanley, who posted a 400.80. Jamestown’s Abby Wanzek finished the diving competition in sixth out of the 37 divers who competed with a score of 348.25.
Fargo North cruised to the team title, racking up a score of 515. The Spartans won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays, and Fargo North’s Elle Roche won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.02). Jamestown compiled a team score of 172.
Annie Hart posted the best individual finish in the pool for the Blue Jays, racing to a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle. Hart also finished ninth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:10.08.
Kamie Wagar also had a pair of top 10 finishes for Jamestown, finishing eighth in the 50 freestyle (26.85) and ninth in the 100 butterfly (1:05.97). Wagar was followed in the 50 free by teammates Paige Peterson in 10th (27.07), Madison Mandan in 13th (27.53) and Camille Kawasaki in 16th (27.61).
Jamestown’s best relay result came in the 200 freestyle, where Wagar Mandan, Peterson and Hart swam to a fourth-place finish in a time of 1:49.15.
The Blue Jays now have a couple of weeks off before hosting Williston in a dual on Oct. 26.
