Canales to give testimony at JC this week

Jamestown College will host Josh Canales, a former professional baseball player with the L.A. Dodgers organization, as he shares his testimony and an inspirational message at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Reiland Fine Arts Center’s DeNault Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Canales is director of the L.A. County Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary. At UCLA, he was a member of the winning 2000 PAC-10 baseball team and received All-PAC-10 first team honors. He was drafted in the 16th round by the Dodgers and played three seasons of professional baseball, reaching AAA with the Las Vegas 51’s. He coaches youth soccer and baseball.
