Truck rolls near Gardner, N.D., killing driver

A Hector, Minn., man was killed in a rollover crash Tuesday morning in Cass County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the 49-year-old man driving a 1984 International straight truck eastbound on Cass County Road 26 about four miles east of Gardner, N.D. At about 11:09 a.m., the vehicle drifted off the road into the south ditch and the driver overcorrected and lost control. The truck went back up onto the road, rolled and went back into the ditch before coming to rest upright.

The driver was ejected during the crash and died at the scene. He had not been wearing a seat belt. His name is being withheld pending notification of family.

The truck was totaled.
