There will be no mention of pop star Michael Jackson's death during an upcoming trial of a former Fargo surgeon accused of drugging and raping his wife.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — There will be no mention of pop star Michael Jackson's death during an upcoming trial of a former Fargo surgeon accused of drugging and raping his wife.
Jon Norberg is accused of having sex with his wife, Alonna Norberg, while she was on propofol, a powerful sedative that also has been blamed for the death of Jackson.
The Forum newspaper reports that Judge Douglas Herman on Thursday ruled that there will be no mentions of other high-profile cases involving propofol when Norberg goes on trial on charges of gross sexual imposition and reckless endangerment. The trial is to begin Nov. 5 and last three weeks.
The Associated Press typically does not identify victims of sex crimes but Alonna Norberg has spoken publically about the case.
