Two sentenced on felony charges in court
Two people were sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court. Jon Scott Miller, 29, 1510 11th Ave. NE Apt. 13, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony.

Miller was accused of possessing items used to manufacture, process or ingest drugs other than marijuana on Nov. 23, 2011.
Judge Thomas Merrick sentenced Miller to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation and to not own or possess firearms for two years. He was placed on supervised probation for two years.
In addition, he was ordered to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $1,000 fine and $25 victim-witness fee.
A Class C felony is punishable by a $5,000 fine and five years in prison.
Alvin Eugene Overby, 56, 1124 Sixth Ave. SE, pleaded guilty to theft of property, a Class C felony.
Overby was accused of taking a trailer valued at more than $500 but less than $10,000 on July 25.
Judge John T. Paulson sentenced Overby to a two-year deferred imposition of sentence along with two years supervised probation and two years electronic monitoring. Overby is also prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm for two years. He was ordered to have no contact or to come within 500 yards of the victims in the case.
Overby was ordered to pay $6,500 restitution, a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee and a $25 victim-witness fee.
